Bangladesh Army were in devastating form as they crushed Flame Boys Club by 55-0 in the men’s final of the Marcel Victory Day Rugby Competition held at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Monday.
In the day’s final, Bangladesh Army who made into the final winning against Rajdhani Club and Bangladesh Amateur Rugby Club, were in no mood to show any mercy as they made mince meat of their rivals and did not allow any goals to score while they 55 goals in one-sided affaird by them.
While in women’s final Flame Boys women’s rugby team salvaged some of the loss pride when they became champions defeating Topdil.cpm bd rugby team by 15-10 goals in a fought encounter.
Former MP and National Award Winner, Awami League’s Sports secretary Harun Ur Rashid and Head of Walton group and Welfare Department FM Iqbal Bin Anwar (Don) witnessed the final and later gave away the prizes among the winners.
President of Bangladesh Rugby Association Zaheer Al Sawapon was also present as special guest.
