Bangladesh Ansar emerged as the champions of the Walton 1st National Women’s Softball Competition defeating Bangladesh Police by 18-6 points in the final at the Sultana Kamal Women’s Sports Complex in the city’s Dhanmondi on Saturday. Bangladesh Police became runners-up in the meet.
After the final match, Operative Director (Head of Sports & Welfare Department) of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn distributed the prizes among the winners.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association Aminul Islam Liton,
Chairman of the Tournament Committee and Deputy-Director General of Bangladesh Ansar AKM Mizanur Rahman and Secretary of the Tournament Committee Azam Ali Khan were present at the time.
Bangladesh Baseball-Softball Association arranged the softball tournament under auspices of Walton Group.
A total of eight teams took part in the competition.
