Bangladesh A Team will leave the capital for South Africa today (Wednesday) evening on a five-week long tour to South Africa and Zimbabwe to play warm-up matches in South Africa and to play series against Zimbabwe A team.
During the South Africa tour, Bangladesh A team will play three one-day and one three- day matches against local selections while three-one day and two four-day matches against Zimbabwe A team.
Captain of the 2nd string Bangladesh team Shuvagata Hom Chowdhury and Team Manager Habibul Bashar will address a media conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) at 4pm on Wednesday before the team’s departure.
Bangladesh A team will reach South Africa on Oct 15. They will play one-day matches on Oct 19, 27 and 29 and will play lone three-day match on Oct 21-13, all at Irene Villagers Club ground.
The team will depart for Zimbabwe from South Africa on Oct 30 to play three one-day matches against Zimbabwe A team on November 2, 4 and 6 at Queen’s Sports Club ground and two four-day matches on November 9-12 and 15-18, both at Bulawayo Athletic Club ground, before departing for Bangladesh on November 19.
