Bangladesh A clinch the one-dayer series 2-1

Bangladesh A team clinched the one-dayer series 2-1 when they defeated Zimbabwe A team by 31 runs in the last and final one-dayer at the Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah on Wednesday.
Earlier, Zimbabwe A team composed a 17-run win over Bangladesh A team in the first one-dayer at the same venue on September 28.
Bangladesh A team recorded an easy six-wicket victory over Zimbabwe A in the second one-dayer at the same venue on September 30.
Winning in the coin-session, Bangladesh A decided to bat first and scored a fighting 239 off 50 overs and then they restricted Zimbabwe A to 208 for the loss of eight wickets in 50 overs.
Bangladesh made a solid start as Soumya Sarker and Liton Kumar the two openers added together 50 runs in the opening partnership before Soumya Sarker was cleanly bowled out by Taurai Muzarabani.
Later, Marshal Ayub and Mosaddek Hossain contributed 54 runs for the fifth wicket stand before Marshal Ayub was caught by Malcolm Waller off Taurai Muzarabani When Bangladesh’s score was 170 for the loss of five wickets.
Marshal Ayub hit a captain’s knock of 57. His 78-ball innings was laced with six fours. Marshal Ayub was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Farhad Reza and Nurul Islam built another notable partnership. They put on together 40 runs in the seventh wicket stand before Nurul Islam was unfortunately run out by Taurai Muzarabani when the team’s total was 223 for the loss of seven wickets.
Liton Kumar notched up a brilliant 46 from 41 balls hitting eight boundaries while Farhad Reza hit 32 off 31 balls amid four fours.
Mosaddek Hossain and Soumya Sarker added 25 and 22 runs respectively to the Bangladesh total.
Taurai Muzarabani was the peak of the Zimbabwe A bowlers. He captured four wickets at the cost of 33 runs.
Tafadzawa Kamungozi picked up two wickets for 35 runs.
Later, Malcolm Waller knocked a fine 52 from 77 balls including four fours and a six.
Besides, Vusimuzi Sibanda, Luke Jongwe and Brian Chari scored 37, 35 (not out) and 28 runs respectively.
Mominul Haque and Elias Sunny grabbed three wickets each instead of 36 and 53 runs respectively.
Besides, Mosaddek Hossain and Zubair Hossain took one wicket each.
