Eminent educationist Professor Emeritus Anisuzzaman said here on Wednesday that Bangla should be the medium of instruction in higher education in the country.
“Experts should write academic books in Bengali, otherwise it will be difficult to study in Bengali language. Only memorization in English is not effective in higher education,” said Anisuzzaman. He was addressing a symposium on “Bengali Language in the backdrop of internationality” this evening at VIP lounge of Jatiya Press Club in the capital.
United Nations Association of Bangladesh (UNAB) organised the programme in observance of International Mother Language Day.
Prof Anisuzaman said that sufficient terminologies have already been made which are congenial for higher education in Bangla medium.
