Bangabandhu’s speech gives us inspiration to combat corruption, outgoing ACC chairman says

To attain real salvation which mentioned at Bangabandhu’s March 7 speech needs to prevent corruption, said Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) outgoing Chairman Iqbal Mahmood on historic 7 March celebration programme at anti-graft watchdog head office in the city on Sunday.
He said, March 7 speech gives us energy and inspiration to combat against corruption.
Chairman Iqbal Mahmud said, ACC has a legal responsibility to continue its drive against corruption without any biasness and influences. The people from any quarter of society have responsibility for curbing the corruption which has already spread every corner of our society.
‘Historic March 7 speech is piece of evidence of to attain salvation of political, social, cultural and economical of the proletariat’, he added.
“It was also a guideline for our war of independence, and future Bangladesh.”
Iqbal Mahmud said there is no evidence in world history that a fore-finger direction could have brought independence of a nation.
The outgoing Chairman said, independence does not mean to get a piece of land, it means to get freedom from any kind of slavery such as political, social, cultural and economical slavery.
ACC Commissioner Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque Khan said, historic March 7 speech was Father of the Nation’s deep heart feelings. Without this speech it was not possible to bring our independence.
The Father of the Nation was once the Minister in charge of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Therefore, as an institution, the officers and employees of the ACC have to dedicate themselves to the service of the country by fulfilling their responsibilities as ideal worker, said ACC Commissioner A F M Aminul Islam.
Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain Howlader, Secretary of ACC, Abdun Nur Muhammad Al Firoz, Director General (Money Laundering), Director Sheikh Mohammad Fanafilla, Dhaka Divisional Office Director Akhter Hossain, Deputy Director Nazmus Sayadat and Md. Rafiqul Islam among others spoke on the occasion.
