Bangabandhu’s birth anniv observed

 The 97th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was observed in Narsingdi district with due respect and festivity.
To mark the day, District Administration chalked out elaborate programmes including rally, discussion meeting, cultural function, essay and drawing competition for the children and special prayers
A large rally led by Deputy Commissioner Abu Hena Morshed Zaman paraded from local Circuit house to Shilpakala Academy.
After the rally a discussion meeting was held under the auspice of District Administration at local Shilpakala Academy.
Additional Deputy commissioner (general) Khandakar Nurul Haque addressed the discussion as chief guest with Deputy Commissioner Abu Hena Morshed Zaman.
Police Super Narsingdi Amena Begum, Civil Surgeon Putul Roy, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Kamal Hossain, Additional district magistrate (ADM) Rehan Uddin, Bangladesh Mukijoddha sansad, District commander Bangladesh Mukijoddha sansad, Narsingdi district Unit Abdul Motaleb Pathan, ex principal of Narsingdi Gov College Golam Mostafa Miah, Mohammad Ali and Shorja Kanto Dash were also present in the function as special guests and addressed.
The Chief Guest paid great tribute to the Father of the Nation and called upon the children to build up themselves as honest citizen of the country for materializing the dream of the Bangabandhu ‘Sonar Bangla”. He said father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman first envisaged country’s independence and shaped his dream as well through lifelong struggle .He established National Child Day for the welfare of the children. He also said the ideology of Bangabundhu could not be erased by killing him as he would remain alive in the heart in the people of Bangladesh forever.
Staff Reporter from Kishoreganj adds: The 97 birth anniversary of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day was observed in Kishoreganj Sadar and upaziles of the district on Thrusday with due respect.
Kishoreganj District Administration, Awami League, JSD, Gono-Forum and many Social-cultural organisation chalked out celebrate the programmes to marking the Day.
A discussion meeting was arranged by District Administration at Local Art Council Hall on Thursday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswash and Police Super Md. Anwar Hossain Khan attended as chief and special guest.
Before a discussion, a colourful rally was brought out in the town marking the day.
Bangladesh Awami League arranged a discussion meeting held at its district office with District Committee President Adv Kamrul Ahasan Shajahan.
It was addressed among others by General Secretary Adv M.A. Afzal, Principal Sharif Sadi, Former Poura Mayor Nurul Islam Nuru, Womens Leader Bilkis Begum, Aminul Islam Bakul, Syed Ashraful Islam Tito and Shakauddin Ahmed Rajon.
A cultural function was held at local Art Council.
