The 94th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and also National Children’s Day was celebrated on Monday here amid festivity.
Upazila administration and Upazila unit of Awameleague and its associate bodies took elaborate programmes marking the day.
In the morning, a colourful procession was brought out in the town from the local party office and premises and ended at the same place after parading different streets of the town. People from all walks of life, including students and teaches, participated in the rally.
Monirampur (Jessore) Correspondent says: The 94th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National children’s Day was observed at Monirampur Upazila in a befitting manner on Monday.
In observance the Day Upazila administration was chalked out an elaborate program. Including placing wreath’s at the portrait of Bangabandhu, children rally, drawing and essay competition, ‘Eso Bangabandhu Hoi’ ready speech competition, discussion meeting were the program. ‘Doa Mohfils and prayer at mosque and mandirs at different places were also arraigned. Children of different schools political leaders and workers Muktijodha and cultural men were attended at the functions.
Savar Correspondent reports: The Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 94th birthday and National Child day was celebrated in different places of Savar through many programmes.Savar upazila porishad organized a discussion and rally on occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 94th birthday and National Child day at Savar Odhorchandra School field on Monday morning.
Bagerhat Correspondent reports: The 94th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Shaikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day was celebrated in a befitting manner in Bagerhat district town and its all the nine upazilas on Monday.
The day’s slogan of the year is “We shall build Bangladesh in the spirit of the independence.”
Earlier the district administration Awami League and different socio-political and cultural organizations chalked out separate and elaborate programmes to celebrate the day in great pomp and grandeur.
Narsingdi Correspondent adds: To celebrate the 94 birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children’s Day, Narsingdi district administration organised a discussion and cultural function at local Shaheed Minar premises on Monday.
