Bangladesh Embassy in London celebrated the 94th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Monday in a befitting manner.
The elaborate programme started by placing wreaths on the statue of Bangabandhu by Bangladeshi High Commissioner Mohammad Mijarul Kayes.
Chief Guest of the programme Michael Barnes presented the key-note paper on the life of Bangandhu. High Commissioner of Bangladesh, President of Awami League in UK Sultan Sharif, former Envoy Syed Mohammad Hossain and renowned journalist Abdul Gaffar Chowdhury also took part in the discussion.
The celebration included drawing and essay writing competition for the children and offering prayers. Messages from President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were also read out on the occasion.
