Bangabandhu Scholarship recipient Juarana Aziz leaves for USA

Bangabandhu Scholarship recipient Juarana Aziz, an Associate Professor, Department of Language Education at IER, University of Dhaka, recently left for United States of America to do Ph. D at the University of Minnesota.
Juarana started her teaching career as Lecturer at the IER, University of Dhaka on 12-5-2010. Afterwards She has been promoted as Assistant Professor and recently as Associate Professor at IER. Juarana made extraordinary result securing first position in merit list in her SSC and HSC examinations respectively in 1998 and 2000 from Mymensingh Girls Cadet College under Dhaka Education Board.
She did her B.A. (Hons) and M.A. in English with credit from University of Dhaka. Jurana came from a respectable Syed family of Jhalokathi district, UpozilaKathalia, Shouljalia Union, Ward No 3.Juranas are two sisters and two brothers and they all are brilliant. Her elder sister did MBBS(DMC) and postgraduation in Australia and presently working as a Doctor in Australia; her two brothers are working in Canada and U.K. after completing higher study abroad.Jurana’s mother Mazeda Aziz is a housewife and her father Syed Abdul Aziz is a freedom fighter and Advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court.
