Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 99th birthday and National Children’s Day was celebrated at North Kattli Mustafa-Hakim KG and High School arranged by the Mustafa-Hakim Welfare Foundation.
Former city mayor M Manzoor Alam, the founder of the school, was present as chief guest at the school premises on Sunday (March 17th).
M Manjur Alam said, “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is the best child in this country.
Bangabandu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17 March 1920. Today we got an independent country because of the birth of Bangabandhu. The architect of Bangladesh Independence and map of the world a country named Bangladesh has been named. We remember him today with reverence.
He urged the students to acquire knowledge about the true history of liberation war and Bangabandhu and his contribution.
The students presented the historic speech of Bangabandhu on March 7. Students also talk about Bangabandhu’s ideals and colorful life.
Mohammed Mahibbur Rahman, Headmaster of the School presided the function .Assistant Teacher Khalilur Rahman,Conducted the program .Among other attended Managing Committee member Nesar Ahmad, Vice President of Akbar Shah Thana Awami League Lokman Ahmed, Vice Principal of North Kattli Mustafa-Hakim College Badshah Alam, Professor Kazi Mahbubur Rahman, Md. Abu Chogir, Kazi Mahfuzul Haque Chowdhury, women’s leader Mili Chowdhury also attended the discussion.
