Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Research Center has been established in Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) with a view to preserving the history of Bangladesh for facilitating advanced research on socio-cultural development.
Carrying forth the legacy of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the center there will include facilities for the study of the country’s language, literary arts, culture, sports, fisheries, flora and fauna, national personalities, national leaders, the Language Movement, the Liberation War etc.
Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister Mashiur Rahman inaugurated the function on Saturday while Chairman of NUB Trust and Vice-Chancellor of Northern University of Business and Technology Khulna Professor. Dr. Abu Yusuf Md. Abdullah presided over it.
Vice-Chancellor of NUB Professor. Dr. Anwar Hossain and Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Anwarul Karim were present at the fucntion as special guests.
The Registrar, deans, heads of departments, faculty members, administrative officials and students of NUB were also present.
