Abdus Salam Murshedy, member of parliament for Khulna-4 constituency and former president of BGMEA, said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is our ideological guide.
He was speaking at an event organized by the Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre, Dhaka and the Assistant High Commission of India, Khulna to pay homage to Bangabandhu, according to a press release.
A three-day group art exhibition titled “Bangabandhu – Statesman of the Era’ was held to mark the centenary of his birth. Artworks of top 12 and promising painters of the country were on display in Khulna.
On Saturday, Murshedy was shown around by Indian Assistant High Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Raina at the Bangabandhu’s Art Exhibition where he said: “The Bangali nation will never forget the unconditional sacrifice of Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, for the country.
“His worthy daughter, honorable prime minister, Sheikh Hasina’s skillful leadership is the fruit of today’s railway model of development in Bangladesh. Today, Bangladesh stands tall in the world court. I think such an arrangement in the future will further strengthen the ties between the two countries.”
