Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Competition to begin on January 8

Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Competition will begin on January 8 at the Bangabadhu National Stadium (BNS). The matches of the gala football meet will be held at the BNS and Sylhet District Stadium.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in the extravaganza. They are: Bangladesh National Football team, Bangladesh Under-23 Football team, Malaysia, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Cambodia and Nepal.
The emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) was held at the BFF House on Saturday. President of BFF Kazi Salahuddin presided over the meeting. The members of the meeting decided to arrange the 11-day long mega football meet.
The football competition will come to an end on January 18.
Malaysia Under-23 Football team emerged as the champions of the last edition of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Competition while Bangladesh National Football team became runners-up in the last edition of the football meet.
