State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak on Sunday said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ensured the five basic rights of the Bengali nation enacting constitution after the country’s independence.
“Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman ensured the five basic rights of food, clothing, housing, education and health formulating the constitution in line with the spirit of the country’s independence,” he said.
The state minister said this while addressing a discussion and a Doa-mahfil as the chief guest at BCC auditorium of ICT Tower in city’s Agargaon area.
The Information and Communication Technology Division organized the meeting on the occasion of the 44th martyrdom anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Mourning Day.
With ICT Division Secretary N M Ziaul Alam in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Standing Committee on Ministry of Post Tele Communication and Information Technology Chairman A K M Rahmatullah, Bangabandhu Memorial Trust Curator Md Nazrul Islam, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Managing Director Hosne Ara Begum and Begum Afroza Jamil (Kanka), the daughter of Bir Uttom Shaheed Colonel Jamil Uddin Ahmed.
The state minister also said the anti-liberation forces wanted to erase the real history of the war of liberation by killing Bangabandhu but they failed to destroy his spirit.
