The Chittagong divisional phase of the Bangabandhu and Bangamata Begum Fazilatunessa Mujib Gold Cup Primary School Football Tournaments have advanced to the semifinal stages.
In the Bangamata Gold Cup, Cox’s Bazar beat Brahmanbaria by 2-0 goals while Chittagong outplayed Chandpur by 3-0 goals, Rangamati defeated Bandarban by 2-0 goals while Comilla beat Noakhali also by 2-0 goals at the MA Aziz Stadium in the port city on Monday to reach the semifinals.
In the Bangabandhu Gold Cup, Brahmanbaria crushed Chandpur by 8-0 goals featuring a hat-trick by Basir, Comilla trounced Khagrachhari by 12-0 goals featuring seven goals, including a hat-trick, by Sujon Miah, Noakhali outplayed Laxmipur by 3-1 goals while Cox’s Bazar got walkover against Feni to reach the semifinals.
In Tuesday’s semifinals, Cox’s Bazar will face Comilla and hosts Chittagong will take on Rangamati in the Bangamata Gold Cup Football while Brahmanbaria will play Cox’s Bazar and Comilla will encounter Noakhali in the Bangabandhu Gold Football at the same venue.
