A boy and his sister were killed and their mother went missing in a land slide occurred yesterday at Saiyanga Tripurapara in the district.
The deceased were identified as Bajerung Tripura, 12, and his sister Prodip Tripura, 07. Their mother Krishna Tripura is still missing.
Local people said a hill collapsed on them yesterday afternoon when they were taking bathe in a stream (Jhiri) at Saiyanga Tripurapara, five kilometers far from Bandarban town, during heavy rain. All of them went after the hill collapse.
Red Crescent and Fire Fighters have been conducting rescue mission since last night. Locals found the body of Bajerung Tripura this morning in the stream while Prodip discovered in the River Sangu.
Officer-in-Charge of Bandarban Sadar Thana Shohag rana confirmed.
