Banani murder suspects indentified

The police have identified four suspects allegedly involved in the murder of recruiting agent Siddiq Hossain Munshi, at Banani in the city. The police said that they are professional killers and that their names and addresses have been confirmed.
Some of the investigating officers said that as there was no close circuit camera in Siddiq’s office, there was no video footage of the crime scene. But, they found the video
 footage of the suspects’ entry and exit from the place recorded on a CCTV camera on first floor of the same building.
A group of miscreants shot dead Siddiq Hossain Munshi, 55, on Tuesday night. Three of his employees were seriously wounded.
The investigating officers said two suspects were seen to enter the building around 7:50 pm on the video footage. One of them was wearing a cowboy hat and another one had a face mask and sunglasses. They after 24 seconds, two more people entered. Of them one was wearing a t-shirt and pants and another one was wearing a full-sleeved shirt and pants. They were leaving the place around 7:52 pm. Their age ranged from 20 to 30.
The family of the deceased claimed, Siddiq was killed because he refused to pay extortion money.
Investigating officer SM Mostaq Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commission of Gulshan police zone, said, they were looking into business rivalry, personal animosity and family problems as possible motives for the murder. Business rivalry seemed the most likely, he said.
