Four associations relates to rickshaws, auto rickshaw owners and workers in the port city called for jubilant procession for banning the plying of batter run rickshaws and auto rickshaws in the city.
The announcement of the jubilant procession was given in the meeting of Auto rickshaw-auto-tempo and rickshaw owners association held in city on Saturday last.
The four associations are- Chittgong Auto Rickshaw-auto Tempo Sramik Union, Chittagong CNG Baby Taxi Malik Samity, Mohangari Rickshaw Malik Samity, Mahanagari Rickshaw Drivers-owners Coordination Parishad .
President of Mohanagari Richshaw Malik Parishad Md. Siddique Miah presided over the meeting. Among others President of Auto rickshaw-auto tempo Sramik Union Md. Kamaludin, General Secretary Harunur Rashid, Finance Secretary Md. Jasimuddin, President CNG Baby Taxi Malik Kaylan samity Md. Hossain, General secretary M A Faruk spoke on the occasion.
