Hunted deer, boat of poachers recovered

A hunted alive deer and a small boat of the poachers were recovered by the forest guards from Fultali canal area near at Dhyangmari forest office under Chandpai Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarban forest on Saturday at night, according to a delayed report received here. Md. Ismail Hossain, Forest Station Officer of Dhyangmari said that at the night a contingent of the forest guards were discharging their normal duties as a part of their routine works at Fultali canal area under Chandpai Forest Range some ¾ unidentified poachers sensed of the appearance of the forest guards and fled away into the deep forest leaving a small boat there.
2 jungle pirates held, arms recovered
Two jungle pirates were arrested and 14 ammunitions and 3 shot guns were recovered from the Western Division of Sundarban by the Coast Guards on Friday. Lt. Commander M Mohiuddin Majumdar, an officer of the Coast Guards of the Western Zone said , a contingent raided the river Madar in the Weston Division of Sundarban on Friday and arrested 2 jungle pirates belonging to Jahagir Bahini, a notorious gang of jungle pirates of Sundarban forest. They are Abul Hossain (30) and Monirul (27). Both of them hailed from Satkhira district. On the same day in the morning another contingent of the coastguards raided Laudob area under the same Western Davison of the forest. But getting the scent of the appearance of the coastguards the jungle pirates fled away in the deep forest.
150 bags urea fertilizer recovered
Members of the Coast Guards recovered some 150 bags of urea fertilizer left as abandoned at Khalpar area of Mongla Port town on Monday . Lt. Commander Mohiuddinn Majumdar, an officer of the Coast Guards of the Western Zone said that acting on a secret information a contingent of Coast Guard raided Khalpar area of the port town at about 4 pm and recovered the urea fertilizer from there. But the Coast Guards could not arrest any body .
3 killed in road accidents
Some 3 persons were killed and 3 others were injured when a loaded truck dashed a motor cycle from its behind and rammed into a road side shop on Bagerhat-Khulna Highway at C & B bazaar under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila on Monday. Police said that the killer truck was coming to Bagerhat from Khulna and when it reached the place of occurrence driver lost his control over its steering and it violently dashed a running motor cycle from Its behind and rammed into a road side cloth shop. As a result Pagal Bala (60), co-rider of the motor cycle was killed on the spot while motor cyclist, a cloth trader and two others were injured.
