Adv. Md. Mozaffor Hossain, a senior journalist and former President and life member of Bagerhat Press Club and a former President of Bagerhat District Bar Association breathed his last in Khulna Medical College Hospital on Wednesday in morning while he was undergoing treatment there. He had been suffering from old age complications for the last two months. He was 81. He left behind wife, one daughter, one brother, sisters and a host of relatives, friends and admirers to mourn his death.
He was well behaved, honest, kind, generous and outspoken all through his life. He was associated with almost all the social welfare organizations like Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, founder member of Bagerhat Foundation, Diabetics Association all through his life. He was born in an aristocratic family. His father was a reputed lawyer of Bagerhat Bar Association for a long period of time.
He started his journalism career as Bagerhat district correspondent of the national English daily the Independent in eighties. His Namaj-e-Janaj was held in the local Swadhianta Udyan after Asar prayer.
