Inter Base Athletics Competition-2016 of Bangladesh Air Force concluded at BAF Base Bangabandhu sports ground onThursday. Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Abu Esrar, BBP, ndc, acsc witnessed the final day’s events as chief guest and distributed medals and trophies among the winners.
Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar team won the title with 9 gold, 10 silver and 06th bronze medals while Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haq team became runner up with 06 gold, 03 silver and 07 bronze medals. AC-2 Faruq of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bashar team was adjudged the best athlete in the Competition.
Earliar, the competition was inaugurated by Air Officer Commanding of Bangladesh Air Force Base Bangabandhu Air Commodore M Mafidur Rahman, BUP, ndu, afwc, psc on Tuesday at the same ground.
Among others, Principal Staff Officers of the Air Headquarters, senior BAF officers and a large number of Airmen and MODC from Dhaka area were present on the occasion.
