As part of ongoing dialogues with political parties, the Election Commission will sit in talks with Bakalpadhara Bangladesh and Islami Oikya Jote on Tuesday.
The meeting with Bakalpadhara will begin at 11am, while that with Islami Oikya Jote at 3 pm at the city’s Nirbachan Bhaban. Both the meetings will be held with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda in the chair.
Bakalpadhara chief and former President AQM Badruddoza will lead a 14-member delegation
and place a 12-point proposal at the meeting, said a press release on Monday.
Islami Oikya Jote quit BNP-led 20-party alliance last year and the president of the party is Abdul Latif Nezami.
The Commission started dialogues with 40 registered political parties on August 24 last to seek their opinions over the EC’s preparation for the next general election likely to be held in December 2018.
