Around 2.36 voters of Nilphamari-3 (Jaldhaka) Constituency are awaiting to opt BNP’s candidate Principal Azizul Islam in the electoral symbol Sheaf of Paddy and Awami League (AL) led Grand Alliance Major (Rtd) Rana Mohammad Sohel for polls symbol ‘plough’ (Langol).
The locals are hopeful about the victory of Principal Azizul. But Sohel may win based on the Hindu community voters.
They opined that the Jamaat’s central leader Azizul is very familiar in the upazila for his good manner and social activities. The AL rift is a blessing for the Sheaf of Paddy.
Yet, Sohel Rana may get positive response from the young voters and huge development in the area blessed by the running lawmaker Golam Mostafa.
A 95-year old voter said that she would cast her vote for Sheaf of Paddy as last vote in her life.
Another voter Ashraful Islam from Mirganj Union said that he would vote for ‘plough’ symbol.
A voter minority community, said that Hindu voters would favour Sohel Rana as he participated in the election blessed by Awami League.
A female voter said that she would cast her vote to Azizul as he is an honest man.
Another young voter from Katha Union, said that Azizul Islam will win if ruling party men refrain to rig the vote centers.
Azizul Islam told The New Nation on Thursday, “I am 100 percent sure about the victory in the upcoming election if polls is free and fare.”
Majority voters may cast their votes for Sheaf of Paddy apart from love with me, Azizul Islam said.
Rana Mohammad Sohel, told The New Nation in the evening, “I am 100 percent sure of my victory in the election.”
Nazia Sherin, Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner of Niphamari, told The New Nation on Thursday, “We are hopeful about the free and fare election as law and order situation is prevailing in peaceful manner.”
