Tangail Correspondent :
Advocate Ataur Rahman Azad (Tangail district correspondent of Banglavision and Inqilab) and Advocate Jafar Ahmed (Boishakhi Telivison and Daily Sokaler Khobor) have been elected president and general secretary of Tangail Press Club respectively. The election was held at Press Club Bhaban on 26 December on Friday.
The other bearers of the club are: Vice-president, Zakerul Maula (RTV) and Tuhin Khan (Masranga tv), Treasurer, Md Refazur Rahman (Daily Jugantor), Joint Secretary, Md Nasiruddin (ATN) and Ehsanul Haque Shaheen (Independent TV), Cultural Secretary, Advocate Sattar (Weekly MowBazar), Sports secretary, Masudur Rahman (Daily Mozlumer Kantha) Office Secretary, Kazi Ripon (Ekushey TV).
Elected executive members are: Dr Mohammad Kamruzzaman (The New Nation), Biman Bihari Das (Daily Sangbad), Abdur Rakib (Daily Mofossol), Habib Khan (NewAge) and Abu Sadat Imran (Daily Progotir Alo).
Chairman of election commission of Tangail Press Club Abdul Hamid Bhuyan and member of the commission Adv Nihar Shaker and Advocate Abdur Rashid conducted the election.
