Prof Dr Rafiqul Islam of the Department of Law of Macquarie University, Australia called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique on Thursday at his office.
DU Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Farid Uddin Ahmed, Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman and Prof Dr Md. Rahmat Ullah of the Department of Law were, present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest specially about research and academic issues of law.
They also discussed about possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative programs between the two universities.
DU VC Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique thanked the Professor of the Australian university for his visit and keen interest about academic and research activities of the university.
