The ‘Australia Bangladesh Trade Conference, 2019’ will be held from April 30 to May 2 at Novotel Darling Harbour in Sydney for expanding bilateral trade and business between the two friendly countries.
Bangladesh High Commission to Australia in association with the Australia Bangladesh Business Council (ABBC) is organising the conference for collectively discussing on potentials and challenges for greater bilateral economic interaction.
While talking, ABBC Chairperson Asif Kawnine said the event is set to be one of the largest and most impactful trade conferences bringing together business entities in Bangladesh and Australia with current and future business interest.
“Industry bodies and associations, researchers, industry and policy analysts, government officials of both counties and policymakers will take part in the event to demonstrate and discuss opportunities in trade and investments,” he added.
He said around 80 representatives from different business bodies in Bangladesh and Bangladesh government are expected to take part in the conference.
The ABBC chairperson informed that Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi is expected to take part in the conference with a strong delegation from Bangladesh. Among the delegation, Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam is likely to join, he added.
Asif Kawnine said the Bangladesh will try to find out the ways of increasing trade and investment between the two countries.
