Attack on RU BCL activists protested

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), Dhaka University (DU) unit, on Tuesday brought out a procession on the university campus protesting the attack on BCL, Rajshahi University (RU) unit, leaders Masud Hasan and Togor M Salehi.
The procession started from in front of the Modhus’s Canteen and ended at the base of Aparajeyo Bangla after parading different roads of the university. Later, they held a rally there.
The BCL leaders demanded arrest and exemplary punishment to those who were involved in the incident. BCL DU unit President Mehedi Hasan presided over the rally while its General Secretary Omar Sharif moderated it.

Speaking on the occasion, BCL leaders blamed Jamaat-Shibir activists for the attack on their fellow activists at RU.
The BCL leaders said, “The BCL has been working to ensure academic atmosphere in all the educational institutions across the country since its establishment. But Jamaat-Shibir and other extremist organisations disturb us. They are working to volatile the congenial atmosphere in the educational institutions,” they said.
It may be mentioned that the left leg of Masud Hasan, an activist of BCL RU unit, was severed while tendons of the hands and legs of Togor M Salehi, BCL leader of the same unit, were severed by unidentified miscreants on RU campus on Tuesday morning.
