Leaders of Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association (FBUTA) condemned the attack on Dr M Mushfiqur Rahman a teacher of Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST) and demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment.
The leaders of the association also demanding sufficient security for the teachers.
The teachers made this demand while organized an annual meeting of the Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers’ Association at Dhaka University Club Bhaban here on Friday with FBUTA president Prof Dr M Moazzem Hossain Khan in the chair. Dr M Mushfiqur Rahman, president of Pabna University of Science and Technology Teachers’ Association and Dean of Business Education Faculty, was critically injured when unidentified miscreants attacked him indiscriminately with lethal weapons on the PUST campus on March 5.
After the incident, he was admitted to Pabna Sadar Hospital, FBUTA general secretary Prof Dr M Ahiduzzaman said.
