Unidentified armed miscreants attacked the residence of Mamun Dewan, Livestock Affairs Secretary of Bangladesh Freedom Party (FP) at Dalpur area in the city recently.
It is alleged that at 11: 30 pm on May 7, 2015 , a group of unidentified armed miscreants attacked the house and threatened Mamun Dewan if he came back from America .
Razia Sultana, wife of Mamun Dewan said, their family did not support ruling party Awami League councilor candidate Gazi Shamim in the ward No 49 in the recently ended City Corporation election and that that’s why they attacked the house. They supported Alhaj Badal Sarder. It is mentionable that Dewan’s village home was also attacked several times before.
