Different organizations condemned and protested the attack on Enamul Haq Shamim, a central committee member of Awami League and former president of its student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League. Shamim was injured with several gunshots by a group of unidentified miscreants near his Dhanmondi residence this morning on his way to office. He is now undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH).
Protesting the attack, BCL Dhaka University unit brought out a procession on the university campus here on Thursday afternoon which paraded different roads on the university campus.
Among others, BCL president HM Badiuzzaman Shohag, Dhaka University unit President Mehedi Hasan Mollah and General Secretary Omar Sharif took part in the procession.
Bangabandhu Sangskritik Jote, in a statement, protested the attack on Awami League Central Committee member Enamul Haq Shahim and demanded immediate arrest of the culprits and their exemplary punishment.
BCL Islamic University unit also brought out a procession condemning the attack on Enamul Haq Shamim.
