Attach priority to nat’l interest to expedite dev: President

President Md. Abdul Hamid urged all, irrespective of party affiliations and opinions to attach priority to the national interest to speed up country’s development and progress.
All have to give attention that no person or quarter on any party interest would hamper the national interest.
President Abdul Hamid was addressing a function at Bajitpur College on the occasion of its golden jubilee celebration on Monday noon. College Governing Body Chairman Md. Azizur Rahman presided over the programme.
It was addressed among others by Afzol Hossain M.P, Rejwan Ahamed Toufiq M.P, Adv Md. Sorabuddin M.P, Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas, Zila Parishad Chairman Adv Zillur Rahman, former M.P Manzur Ahamed Bachu and College Principal Mostafa Kamal.
The President hopped that he would see a happy and prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’ dreamt by Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bengali of thousand years.
Abdul Hamid said that, In my long political career, I never compromised with evil forces and was always strict to the priciple.
I want to spend rest of my life for the welfare of mass peoples as I have nothing more to get in my life.
President also called upon students to materialize the dream of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman who wanted the people’s economic emancipation beside the political independence. His daughter Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly. He said to eusure socio-economic development of the country and development strategy of the present government got worldwide appreciation.
Earlier, he laid foundation stones of some development projects including a memorial monument, Muktijouddha Chattar and construction work of four bridges at Bajitpur Upazila of Kishoreganj.
