On the occasion of the silver jubilee of the country’s first satellite channel ATN Bangla’s colorful program was organized in Rangpur on Friday.
In the morning, the Silver Jubilee program was started with a joyous procession in front of Rangpur Press Club. Rangpur’s young and old news activists, artists, cultural activists, writers and newspaper sebigans took part in the program.
At the end of the joyous procession, ATN Bangla’s silver jubilee cake was officially cut at the Rangpur Press Club auditorium. Veteran journalist Abdus Saheb Montu officially cut the cake and inaugurated the event. Special guests at the event were Fakhrul Anam Benju, District President of Citizen Sujan for Good Governance, Sajjad Hossain Bappi, Acting General Secretary of Rangpur Press Club, and Mazharul Mannan, General Secretary of Rangpur Journalists Union. Mintu Abdur Rahman, Senior Vice President of Rangpur Press Club, Aftab Hossain, Rangpur correspondent of Boishakhi Television, Poet Hai Hafeez, Journalist Siddiqur Rahman, Advocate Palash Kanti Nag, Journalist Farhaduzzaman Faruk, Miru Sarkar, Alamishnasir, District President Shah Newaz Johnny and journalist cultural activists.
Mahbubul Islam, Rangpur correspondent of ATN Bangla, conducted the program. Speakers on the occasion lauded the news and programs of the traditional television channel ATN Bangla and hoped that the channel would present better programs in the days to come.
