District administration of Chittagong has sanctioned Tk.3 lakh and 111 metric tons of rice for the rain and flash flood affected people of the district.
District Relief and Rehabilitation officer Md. Abul Bashar visited the affected areas of Anowara, Patiya,Chandanaish,Satkania, Hathazari,Sitakunda and Mirsarai yesterday .
District administration sources said among the total assistance, Tk.50 thousand and 10 tons of rice for Satakania and Patiya upazila, Tk.50 thousand and 6 tons of rice for Banskhali, Tk.40 thousand and 5 metric tons rice for Raozan, Tk.30 thousand & 5 metric tons of rice for Chandanaish and Rangunia, Tk.10 thousand and 2 metric tons of rice for Boalkhali and Hathazari upazila , Tk.10 thousand and 3 tons rice for Sitakunda and 59 metric tons rice for metropolitan area, sources said.
