UNB, Gazipur :
The wife of an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in Ratkhola area of Sadar upazila of the district on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sufia Begum, 35, wife of Aminul Islam, an ASP of Gazipur industrial police.
Sadar hospital sources said victim’s son Siam aided by their landlady Shamima Begum had taken Sufia’s body to the hospital at about 9:00am assuming her to be still alive. Superintendent of Police Abdul Baten of Gazipur said Sufia might have committed suicide over a family feud. A UD case will be filed in this connection, added Abdul Baten.
