Additional Superintendent of Barguna district Police Muharam Ali, who came under discussion after the incident of police baton charge against Chhatra League in Barguna, has been removed from duty at Barguna and attached to Barisal Range DIG office.
The matter was confirmed by Barishal Range DIG SM Aktaruzzaman on Tuesday afternoon. He explained that the additional superintendent of
police Muharam Ali was attached to Barishal DIG office for the sake of neutral investigation of the probe committee formed by police in this connection.
Additional Superintendent of Police Muharam Ali, who came under discussion after the incident of police lathicharge against Chhatra League in Barguna, has been removed from duty and appointed to Barisal Range DIG office.
After two rival factions of Chhatra League clashed on observing National Mourning Day event on Monday, an investigation committee was formed on Tuesday.
On other hand was central BCL committee in a press release signed by central president Nahian Khan Joy and secretary Lokhok Bhattatacharjee formed a two-member probe committee to investigate and submit the report within three-days. Belal Hossain Biduyaut and Abdur Rashid Rafi are the members of the BCL probe committee.
However Barguna district Chhatra League thanked the police for going against the MP and MP demanded dismissal of police official for action against his follower group of BCL.
