Chattogram Bureau :
A Chattogram court has rejected the remand of BNP joint secretary general Aslam Chowdhury in a sabotage case of Akbarshah police station in the city. Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Shafi Uddin’s court on Wednesday denied remand. Aslam Chowdhury’s lawyer Nasima Akter Chowdhury told media that the investigating officer of the case had applied for a five-day remand for Aslam Chowdhury. The court denied remand at the end of the hearing. Bail was applied on our behalf, which was also denied.
Last Monday morning, the investigating officer of the case, Chittagong Metropolitan Magistrate Hossain Mohammad Raza, applied for a five-day remand in the Virtual Court. He is accused of negotiating with a Mossad official to “overthrow the government.”
