Bangladesh Hockey team lost to India Hockey team by 0-9 goals in their group match of the Hero Asian Champions Trophy men’s hockey tournament at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Bangladesh resisted India for first 12 minutes. After that, India created massive chances and dominated the hosts.
Dilpreet Singh of India put his team ahead by a field goal in the 12th minute of the play.
Lalitkumar Upadhaya doubled the margin by a field goal in the 22nd minute of the game. Harmanpreet Singh made it 3-0 using a penalty corner in the 28th minute of the clash. Jarmanpreet Singh increased the tally into 4-0 in the 31st minute capitalizing a penalty corner of the match.
Jarmanpreet Singh scored his second goal in the 43rd minute of the encounter.
Dilpreet Singh made it 6-0 by a field goal in the 44th minute of the game. Akashdeep Singh made it 7-0 by a field goal in the 54th minute of the match. After one minute, Mandeep More raised the tally into 8-0 of the clash. Harmnanpreet Singh sealed the fate of the match (9-0) in the 57th minute of the fourth quarter.
Bangladesh will face South Korea in their second match at the same venue on December 17. The match will start at 6.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
