Md Ashiqur Rahman of Bangladesh secured first place in the 72nd World Long-Distance Swimming Competition at Murshidabad in India on Sunday. Md Ashiqur Rahman crossed 81 km to become first. His compatriot Faisal Ahmed obtained second place in that event.
Meanwhile, Palash Chowdhury of Bangladesh finished second in the 19 km distance swimming competition at the same venue.
