Noted actor, cultural personality and Member of the Parliament Asaduzzaman Noor has tested positive for Covid-19.
“He (Asaduzzaman Noor) received the test report on Thursday,” President of Sammilito Sangskritik Jote (SSJ) Golam Kuddus told an online news portal. “Now, he is under home isolation,” he also said.
The MP of Nilphamari-2 constituency is also member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Cultural Affairs Ministry.
The 74-year-old former cultural affairs minister received the Independence Award in 2018.
Also a freedom-fighter, Asaduzzaman Noor is well known for his works as an actor and cultural activist. He was a popular figure on television and the stage throughout the 1980s and 1990s.
