Entertainment Desk :This February Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy to present an Art Exhibition titled “Bangla AMAR Desh”, the first ever exhibition of modern Russian artists, twin sisters of Bangladeshi origin, Rubina Khosseyn and Sabina Khosseyn, in Bangladesh. The Exhibition will consist of more than 40 artworks aimed to highlight Bengali nation and land by means of unbelievably realistic drawings and paintings. The Opening Ceremony of the exhibition was atarted yesterday 4 pm in the National Art Gallery says a press release. Honorable Minister for Cultural Affairs, Government of Bangladesh Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP inaugurated the exhibition as the Chief Guest. Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Md. ShahriarAlam, MP, His Excellency, the Ambassador of Russian Federation in Bangladesh Mr. Alexander A. Nikolaev, nationally reputed artist Kalidas Karmakarand the former Member of Parliament Mrs. Nazma Akhter will be present as special guests of the event.The event hosted by the Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Mr. Liakat Ali Lucky.The exhibition will be ended 18 February. Twins Sabina Khosseyn and Rubina Khosseyn (born 18 October 1990) are accomplished Russian artists-hyperrealistsof Bangladeshi origin. Their art is vivid, thoughtful and touching, highly detailed and harmonious. Their artworks are characterized by meaningful, eye opening, truthful and symbolicideas.Their journey as artists began since the very childhood. Graduated from the famous Andriyaka Watercolor School (Moscow, Russia) at the age of 16, they dreamed of becoming professional artists by going to an Art University. Even though everything turned out not the way they planned, they continued developing their artistic skills by themselves. While obtaining their Bachelor degree in Linguistics and Master’s degree in Arts management, their passion to create art grew stronger. In 2009, sisters had a great opportunity to display their artworks in the Embassy of People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Russia on their first Art exhibition. The event hasbrought them fame and respect for the first time. Two years later, in 2011, in search of their individuality in arts they started experimenting with art styles, and materials, and finally decided to stick to “Hyperrealism” genre. The same year they came across”dry brush” technique, which soon became their signature. Since then their artworks, especially portraits impress thousands of people around the world.Khosseyn sisters’ list of artistic achievements consist of dozens of international group exhibitions and art contests, many international diplomas and honors, including award for professionalism by the StateTretyakov Gallery, the most important art institution of Russia. Their social media sources attract thousands of followers and admirers from different corners of the globe.Sabina and Rubina’standem is an example of success.They believe that their equal talent in arts is their inestimable advantage. The fact that they practice same art technique does not bother them at all, because only merging their skills and goals together helps them clear their way towards successful careers.”Bangla AMAR desh” is the first ever exhibition of Khosseyn sisters in Bangladesh and a perfect chance for them to highlight peculiarities of their second homeland. The exhibition is divided into two parts: the main part includes the series of unbelievably realistic portraits, colorful landscapes and vivid sketches, created especially for the exhibition, and the secondary part – previous series of artworks by Sabina and Rubina Khosseyn (Emotions, Beauty of Nature, Black& White) that brought them the most success and appraisal in Europe.
