A Dhaka court on Monday accepted the charge sheet against 25 accused in connection with a case filed over the killing of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) student Abrar Fahad. The court also issued an arrest warrant against four fugitive accused as the Investigation Officer (IO) showed them absconding in the charge sheet.The fugitives are: Morsheduzzaman Zisan, Ehteshamul Rabbi Tanim, Morshed Amatya Islam, and Mujtaba Rafid.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Kaiserrul Islam passed the order after scrutinizing the case docket and other relevant documents.
The court fixed December 3 for the submission of reports on the execution of arrest warrant.
Earlier on November 13, Detective Branch (DB) of Police submitted a charge sheet against 25 accused in the murder case of BUET student Abrar Fahad.
Abrar Fahad, aged 21, a student of electrical and Electronic Engineering Department at BUETwas tortured to death reportedly by BCL leaders of BUET unit at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of the university on October 7.
Abrar’s father filed a murder case against 19 people with Chawkbazar police station on the day of the murder.
