A court in Chittagong issued warrantof arrest against the proprietor of Baizid Steel Mills Ltd Md.Abu Bakkar Chowdhury and another one for misappropriating Tk.77 lakh yesterday.
Anti corruption commissioner, Chittagong has filed the misappropriation case against them . Senior special judge SM Mujibur Rahman issued this order of warrant yesterday. PP of ACC, Chittagong Advocate Mahmudu Hoque said owner of the Baizid Steel borrowed loan from Rupali Bank, Bazid branch in chittagong but with the connivance of the former Bank Manager Delwar Hossain, they misappropriated the loan amount of Tk.76 .41lakh without paying the loan amount. In this connection, ACC filed a misappropriation case before the Baizid thana in city on December 30, 2003 (case No.15(12)03.
Following the submission of the charge sheet by the IO, Judge issued the warrant against the owner of the Baizid steel and the former Manager of Rupali Bank, sources said.
