Journalists at a human chain in Sylhet district on Tuesday demanded exemplary punishment of the killers of journalist couple Sagar Sarwar and Meherun Runi.
They also threatened to continue their movement demanding the killers’ trial.
The human chain was formed in front of Sylhet Centreal Shohid Minar around 11.30am.
Sylhet City Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Mormar MP Dilder Hossain Selim, Journalist Aziz Ahmed Selim, President of TIB Sylhet Advocate Irfanuzzaman, President of SUJN Faruk Mahmud Chowdhury, Ex. President of Sylhet Districe BAR Association Amad Ullah Shohidul Islam, Panel Mayor Rezaul Hasan Koyes Ludy, BFF Director Mahiuddin Selim, Journalist Ataur RahamnAta, Abdul Malik Zaka, KR Runu, Amdad Hossain Chowdhury, Moksud Ahmed, Abdul Batin Foysol were present.
People from all walks of life including students, teachers and journalists participated in the human chain programme.
