Bangladesh Army team clinched the Independence Day Volleyball Tournament title for three times after beating Power Development Board (PDB) by straight 3-0 sets in the final at National Volleyball Stadium on Wednesday.
Army player Emdad was adjudged Attacker of the Tournament while Mohsin clinched Setter of the Tournament title. PDB player Md Ali was adjudged Libero of the Tournament.
Bangladesh Navy team finished 2nd runners-up in the nine-team involving tournament as they got walkover against Titas Club in the 3rd place deciding match at the same venue on the day.
Walton Group Operative Director (head of sports and welfare division) FM Iqbal Bin Anwar distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Ashiqur Rahman Miku, among others, was present on the occasion.
