As part of the National Tree Plantation drive- 2015, the army chief General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq yesterday inaugurated the tree plantation drive of the Bangladesh Army, said a ISPR release here yesterday.
The army has taken a plan for transplanting tree plants of different species like forest and fruit trees at the Dhaka region this year. The Bangladesh Army will play pioneer role in tree plantation and forestation programme.
The main objective of the tree plantation drive-2015 is to encourage everyone for increasing country’s forest resource and protecting the biodiversity of the environment, it said.
