Arjun Kapoor is all set to reunite with father Boney Kapoor once again. Their first collaboration was Tevar in 2015. Directed by popular ad filmmaker Amit Sharma, Tevar, was a remake of the South film Okkadu. A source close to Boney Kapoor informed that the filmmaker has now bought the rights of another South film, which he plans to remake with son Arjun. The film will be a potboiler with action, romance and comedy.
Arjun is currently busy shooting for Vipul Shah’s Namstey England with Parineeti Chopra. He also has Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat and Raj Kumar Gupta’s India’s Most Wanted lined up.
Panipat is a period drama and India’s Most Wanted is a real-life-based story, where Arjun will be seen playing an intelligence officer. After finishing these commitments, Arjun will start work on his father’s film.
Talking about Raj Kumar Gupta’s film, Arjun reportedly said in a statement, “Working with Raj Kumar sir is exciting.
His films are raw, gritty and they talk about true events, true heroes. When he narrated India’s Most Wanted to me I was moved.
I was proud of my motherland It’s a story of unsung heroes. It is a film that will inspire patriotism within all of us. To play a character that might not be known to everybody but needs to be known by everybody was exciting.
To play a character straight out of a real-life incident and not just a biopic – that’s where I think India’s Most Wanted really appealed to me.
It’s an event that transpired recently but not a lot of people know much about it.
It intrigues me as an actor to play this role but it excites me as an audience that I will be getting a chance to see this story unfold on the big screen.”
