The Cute 1st Archery Club Championship kicks-off tomorrow (Thursday) at the Bangladesh Army Stadium in Banani.
Bangladesh Archery Federation will arrange the archery competition under auspices of Mousumi Industries Limited.
The divisions of the competition are: Recurve Division and Bamboo Division.
84 male archers and 57 female archers from 32 clubs will compete in the two-day long archery competition.
The events of the competition are: Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles.
The budget of the competition has been estimated at TK 3,00,000.
Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee of Ministry of Youth and Sports Zahid Ahsan Russell, MP will inaugurate the competition as the chief guest while President of Bangladesh Archery Federation Lieutenant General Md Mainul Islam will distribute the prizes among the winners as the chief guest on the concluding day (Friday).
General Secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation Kazi Rajib Uddin Ahmed Chapal disclosed all the matters related to the competition at a press conference held at the conference room of Bangladesh Archery Federation on Tuesday. Vice-President of Bangladesh Archery Federation and Chief Coordinator of the Competition Mahfuzur Rahman Siddique, Vice-President of the Federation Anisur Rahman Dipu, Joint Coordinator of the Competition Hamida Begum and Member Secretary of the Media Committee of the Federation Rafiqul Islam Tipu were present at the conference.
