After a break of three years, popular face of the small screen Samonty Shoumi acted opposite Ziaul Faruk Apurba in an Eid special drama titled The Shoe Box, directed by Taneem Rahman Angshu. Main story of the drama was written by director Angshu himself while Shahjahan Sourav wrote its script and dialogues. Shooting of the drama has already completed. This was confirmed by actor Apurba himself on Monday.
Shoumi is very excited to work opposite Apurba after three years. She said, “After a break of three years, I acted opposite Apurba in a thriller story based drama. Story of the drama is nice and director tried to give his level best effort during shooting. I really enjoyed working with Apurba after three years. It seems to be my best work in this Eid. So, now I am waiting to watch the drama. However, Apurba has many fans outside the country. They are waiting to watch his new work.”
Apurba shared his feelings by this way, “After many days, I acted with Shoumi. As story of the drama was thriller based, so I had to work with dedication. Shoumi has become more serious in acting rather than previous times. She is doing acting well now.”
Meanwhile, in 2013, Shoumi attached herself with media through participating in ‘Lux-Channel i Superstar’ contest. She first performed as a model in muisc video of Rifat and Arnik rendered a duet song titled Swapno Aamar. Basically she got huge response for this song. Uttam Akash directed movie Boyfriend is Shoumi acted her only movie. She has no interest to work in big screen, the actress said.
