For the last three years the personal life of the Dhallywood film star Apu Biswas has been making the headlines, but not so much her career. Most news stories were about her going missing, her love life, marriage, the sudden appearance of her one-year-old son, family feuds and more.
Among those rare cases where her work drew the media’s attention was Bulbul Biswas’s film Rajniti, for which Apu received much praise from critics. This was the only project the actress undertook in these three years. There is little doubt that speculated that she was not receiving offers for a new film because of her marital issues with the star Shakib Khan.
Hopes were already raised for Apu’s fans who have been eagerly waiting to see her on the big screen again, when she was spotted at the FDC last week, back for her the shooting for her old film Pangku Jamai.
But recently came a true surprise, when director Apurbo Rana signed Apu for his next film as a surprise present. Though the title and the remaining cast of the film is yet to be announced, Apu says shooting for this film will start from December.
She explained that the plot was based on the relationship crisis of a Hindu-Muslim couple.
She expects that the audience will find a new Apu Biswas through this film.
